Representative
Donovan Olson
Donovan
and his wife, Sue have been married for 13 years. They
reside in Boone with their two children, Ryan 6 years
old, and Anna 2 years old.
Donovan was elected to the Iowa State House of
Representatives for the term beginning January 2003. He
represents House District 48 - Spring Valley and Beaver
Townships in Dallas County and most of Boone County.
He sits on the following legislative committees:
- Economic Growth
- Local Government
- Environmental Protection
Professionally, Donovan has served as the Distance
Education Coordinator for Iowa State University's
College of Design since 1999. He coordinates and
administers the delivery of courses in Community and
Regional Planning to off-campus students via DVD within
and outside of Iowa.
Representative Olson served six years on the Boone
County Board of Supervisors, and six years as ex-officio
member of the Boone's Future Economic Development
organization
