Pioneer plans expansion for Dallas Center facilities

Pioneer applies for economic development incentives in Central Iowa

The Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) awarded Pioneer a $1 million forgivable loan and tax benefits through the Physical Infrastructure Assistance Program (PIAP). The loan will be applied toward planned expansion and renovation of Pioneer facilities in the Des Moines metro area.
In our application request, Pioneer is projecting a capital investment of more than $17 million and the creation of approximately 160 new positions to support continued business growth in Central Iowa. No benefits are received until the investments are made and the jobs are created.
The four projects proposed in the application include expansion and renovation of the Krug Building; renovation of the Reid laboratories and offices in Johnston; expansion of office and lab space at the Dallas Center marker facilities; and expansion of office and lab space in Ankeny.
