New Regional Office Location Buccaneer Computer Systems and Services will be opening a regional office in West Des Moines this summer, creating 40 new jobs. The WDM location will focus on providing software development and health informatics products to the Department of Health & Human Services and State Medicaid agencies. The economic development team assisted Buccaneer in garnering the following financial assistance for their project: Community Economic Betterment Account (CEBA) half forgivable loan from IDED of $120,000, tax credits valued at $8,375 from the High Quality Jobs Creation Program, $24,000 loan from the City of West Des Moines, and job training valued at $123,000 from DMACC.
Data Center to Locate in Waukee TEAM Des Moines Partners, LLC has announced plans to build a world class Tier 3 data center at The Crossing at Alices Road development in Waukee. Each phase will consist of approximately 17,000 square feet, with data center operations and management provided by TEAM Technologies. The $14 million project will create a total of 11 new jobs, with the potential of 600 additional jobs created in the development as a result of client needs to locate near the data center facility. The economic development team assisted TEAM in garnering the following financial assistance for their project: tax credits estimated at $550,330 from the High Quality Jobs Creation Program and a tax abatement valued at $687,087 from the City of Waukee.
